Arrival & Departure Times

Arrival 4.00pm on the first day of the rental and end at 10.00am on the day of departure unless otherwise notified. This period is hereafter referred to as the “Holiday”.

The period booked will be stated on the reservation confirmation provided to the Guest when they book. The Guest will be liable for any cost, of whatever nature, incurred because of an unauthorised extension.

Deposit

A 25% deposit is required at time of booking and is non-refundable.

If a Booking is made less than six weeks before the start of the Holiday, the full amount plus any additional charges must be paid at the time of booking.

Final Payment

The balance of the reservation is payable 6 weeks prior to arrival.

Method of Payment

Payments may be made by debit/credit card or electronic bank transfer. Credit cards carry a 2% commission charge, Debit card transactions are free of charge.

Security Deposit

A security deposit of £100.00 is due for payment with the Final Payment towards the Holiday. The whole amount of the Security Deposit, or the balance after any deduction will be refunded to you within 14 days following the end of the Holiday. The St Ives Harbour Hotel shall be entitled to deduct from the Security Deposit the cost of remedying any breach of Guest’s Obligations. Please note that damages and losses are not limited to the security deposit and any costs in excess of this amount will be invoiced and payable in full without delay.

Return of Security Deposit

The security deposit will be returned within 2 weeks of the end of the holiday. In most cases by the same method your balance payment was made by.

Condition of Property

Please ensure that you follow the instructions in the welcome manual of the property on your departure. A House Keeper report is provided when you have left and any losses, damage or any cleaning necessary over and above normal servicing, will be deducted from your security deposit. By signing your registration card on arrival, you authorise us to deduct payment for these from your security deposit.

Linen

Bed linen will not be changed during your stay. Should you require a linen change a charge will be made for this service. All beds will be made up on arrival. A set of towels (not including beach towels) is included in all properties.

Changing a Booking

The dates of the Holiday may be changed at our discretion, providing the same property is available for the new dates, The St Ives harbour Hotel reserve the right to charge the same price for the new dates as that charged for the original booking.

Cancellation

A booking can only be cancelled prior to the start of the Holiday. A Guest who wishes to cancel the Holiday must notify Hotel in writing within seven days of them becoming aware that they cannot take up the Holiday, (“Cancellation Notice”). If a Cancellation Notice is received six weeks or more before the Holiday is due to start, the balance will be cancelled. If cancellation is made less than six weeks before the start of the holiday, the balance is payable in full. If due to any occurrence beyond the control of the the Hotel, the accommodation is unavailable as booked e.g. fire, flood etc, all monies paid will be refunded.

Smoking

Smoking is not permitted in the apartments or communal areas of the building. Should guests be found to be smoking in these areas they may have to pay a fine in line with government guide lines and may be asked to leave the apartment early. A charge for deep cleaning the apartment will be made.

Pets

No pets are permitted in the apartments or communal areas of the building. Should guests be found to have animals in the apartments they may be asked to leave and a charge for deep cleaning the apartment will be made.

Personal property

Any personal effects left by guests can be forwarded to their home address at a cost of £5.00 plus postage. Unclaimed articles will be disposed of after 28 days.

The Guest’s Obligations

The Guest has the right to occupy the property for a Holiday only (within the meaning of schedule 1, Paragraph 9 of the Housing Act 1988.) The Guests agree:
(a) That in no circumstances should overnight accommodation be provided for guests other than those outlined on the Reservation Form unless St Ives Harbour Hotel are notified in advance.
(b) To undertake to pay for any losses or damage to the property caused (reasonable wear and tear excepted).
(c) To take good care of the property and leave it in a clean and tidy condition at the end of the tenancy.
(d) To permit the Hotel reasonable access to the property.
(e) Not to cause an annoyance or become a nuisance to occupants of adjoining premises.
(f) Not to smoke at a non-smoking property.
In the event of breach of these terms and conditions, the Guests may be required to leave the property during the period of the booking.

Liability

The Hotel does not accept liability for any act, neglect or default on the part of the guests or any other person not within their employ, nor for any accident, damage, loss, injury, expense or inconvenience whether to person or property, which the Guests or anyone connected with the Holiday may incur. We reserve the right to provide alternative accommodations or cancel owing to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. If for any reason beyond the Hotels control, the property is not available on the date booked (owing to fire damage for example) or the property is unsuitable for a Holiday, all Holiday payments and additional charges paid in advance by the Guests will be refunded in full, but the Guests shall have no further claim against the Owners or Agents 

The Hotel are not and shall not be held responsible for any maintenance / building works taking place outside of the rental property.

Disclaimer

All properties are used at your own risk. At properties where there is a balcony or elevated terrace, this is used at your own risk. Parents should ensure that their children are supervised in such areas at all times.in full but there will be no further liability towards the hirer.

Authority to Sign

The person who confirms the reservation certifies that he or she is authorised to agree the Terms and Conditions on behalf of all persons included on the booking form, including those substituted or included at a later date. He or she agrees to take responsibility for the party occupying the property.
